Empty and sad
I'm so thankful to have found this group. Its been 4 months since my husband died and sometimes I don't feel like I'm going to survive this. I know in my heart God is helping me to go on but sometimes its unbearable. My husband and I were together for almost 38 years and I don't know how to live without him. We met when I was just 17 years old and he has been my world. Over the years we had our children and grand children and life was good. In January 2013 he was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer. His faith was so strong and he was an inspiration to all who met him. He went through months of chemo and radiation and by the end of the year the cancer was gone. Within a few months it had came back. It was harder to fight the next round. 2014 he went through chemo again and was told they couldn't cure him but only slow it down. He grew tired-fought hard but his life ended way too soon. I lost the love of my life. How do you get over this? I'm feeling so many emotions and sometimes feel like I'm going crazy. This just doesn't seem real that he's never coming back. I miss him so much!

I didn\'t think I would survive either. I thought my life died with him, but I persevered and I have. You can too. Be patient, and let yourself mourn. We can\'t get over this. We must get through the pain to find a way. Sharon
Thank you Sharon for your encouragement. Its nice to hear that in time life will go on even though it will never be the same and that I have the hope of being happy again is comforting. I can\'t imagine living years with this grief and loneliness crying everyday- several times a day- I honestly don\'t think I could live through it. Hope to find a way through it someday.
I to know your pain. It\'s been 10 months for me. I hate to tell you it doesn\'t get easier quickly. I cry everyday. I hate getting in our bed at night. It hurts so bad to live everyday without him. Maybe together we all will make it, one way or another. Stay in touch. (((Hugs))) Linda
