Embryo grades

As of now we have the following:
4 embryos 4 cells
2 embryos 3 cells
5 embryos 2 cells
All grade 1 which is the best. Things are going really well. Really hoping for a baby or babies out of this!
Any of you girls know any more about the cells and grading system?

Yay! Grade 1 is awesome! Sounds like they are all doing fantastic! Not too sure about the cells, and from what I remember each place has their own grading system, but it sounds like yours are top notch!

It sounds like your babies are developing quite nicely :)

I believe cell number shows how far along in development the embryos are, and the grading covers a variety of things, like cell number and fragmentation. MRSstrong is correct--each place has their own grading system. I popped online to find a good explanation and came across this webpage, which matches up with the little I\'ve read/heard: http://www.advancedfertility.com/embryoquality.htm

You might try doing your own search or asking your clinic about its grading system. The latter will give you the best idea of what they truly mean when they give you your reports.

Thanks ladies. I did some research online too. Thanks for the link, hineschica. I read that when the embryos get to day five they grade them on an A-D scale. Hopefully they develope well over the next couple of days and IMPLANT for 9 months. Fingers, toes, eyes, crossed!
