EMBRYO ADOPTION

"When I first discovered embryo adoption, it was like Christmas morning, Liz Krainman, 33, told ABC News. Something just clicked that was like I had no idea this existed, [that] I could be pregnant and I could have a child thats adopted.

The Krainmans got the embryo that became their daughter from a couple, Libby and Tony Kranz, who live almost 1,700 miles away.
The Kranzes underwent five rounds of IVF treatments and suffered through five miscarriages before they adopted a child of their own, a daughter they named Jennifer, in 2007.
Miraculously, after the adoption, Libby Kranz, 35, got pregnant naturally three times and delivered three healthy babies, now ages 5, 3 and 1.
With their family of six complete, the Kranzes were left with four unused embryos.
While most unused embryos are either destroyed or used for science, some couples, like the Kranzes, choose to put their embryos up for adoption. These frozen embryos are affectionately called snowflake babies.
We gave them a gift and people like to say, Oh, they gave such a generous gift, but they gave us a gift too, Libby Kranz told ABC News. They gave us the perfect landing spot for these embryos.
The Krainmans daughter, Sammy, was actually conceived in 2006. The embryo that became her was on ice in a storage facility for seven years before being adopted.
Just knowing that she was frozen for so long as a little ball of cells and then awakened, that process just blows my mind, Krainman

I wish I could have kids sometimes, but I know that I can\'t be a mother. I just can\'t do all that work with no sleep and no meds. I would go insane. I don\'t know if they would let me adopt with the amount of times I have ended up in the mental hospital. But I\'ve always wanted to adopt.

our government is screwy. you can\'t adopt straight out, but you can adopt on the grey market which is kids that were placed with a family and then it didn\'t work out for some reason and they re-home those kids or babies. they actually used to have a site for this on CRAIG\'S LIST!!! I couldn\'t believe it.

you can also \"purchase a child bride\" geo can. for $500 in certain arabic countries i have a list. you are saving a life big time there. they range in age from 3 to 13. i have no idea how the legal works on that, but i know its cheaper than adoption. they transfer custody, kind of like the movie baby boom with diane keaton, the baby is flown over but she didn\'t know she was getting one. i never knew there were other routes. someone should put out a book or manual with them all. instead people spend over 10,000 trying to adopt the inside the box kind of way and end up upset from it all for YEARS. so sad.

WOW! This whole thing is a new one to me! I never knew you could do this. Fortunately for me, I\'m old now! Been there and done that. Very grateful for my daughter. I had two miscarriages before birthing her.

It\'s amazing what we can do these days. This is a wonderful option for a childless couple! WOW! xoxo

knee, you would probably be an excellent candidate for child bride purchase. your husband would make the purchase. have you ever thought about it. its way cheaper than all these other methods and they claim its perfectly legal. falls under religious freedom. its their religion to do the child bride thing. though here, she would have consitutional rights and a life of her own, no \"ownership\". i have some clips on this stuff.

This is very mind blowing! I have never heard of such a thing.

But I am happy to say that my daughter is due in May after her two IVF\'s....and yes....it is rediculously expensive. Sooo looking forward to the new addition.

wish i\'d known carly. ivf is FREE in israel. she could have gone on vacation over there and had it done and cruised back for less than it would cost her here.

there is a joke on line for some kind of surgery, for the price they charge in usa, a person could fly to spain and live there for two years, sightsee and have their TOP surgeons do the same surgery and it would cost less than it cost in usa just for the surgery.

congratulations to your daughter and all of you!

you\'d be saving a life if you did the child bride one. a lot of those children die, they are basically selling them into a life of sure death. i have a video of one kid - age 11 - who was supposed to be sold and got away. its excellent. don\'t know if it will show on here. links on ds don\'t always work.
