Empty
It has been a while since I last wrote but I have been needed to write for a while. This was the second holiday season without my son Lance and probably the hardest. My sister who also lost a son said it would be and it was. I don't think I have ever felt so empty and sad as I have been for the last few weeks. I miss him so much and hope that someday we will see one another again, and I know we will, but it still makes it hard. I am going to take another Grief class in a couple of weeks both to help my self and maybe help someone that has just lost a loved one to suicide. I am looking forward to brighter days and do love my family so much. That is the only thing that keeps me here.

I understand completely. My second year, too. I collapsed emotionally afterwards....rather than during the holidays. I did have my son\'s daughter here and it was tough trying to be strong for her....we did share tears...I don\'t think she gets to share those with her mother. I think you are wise to take another grief class and then share what you know with others who know this same pain. God be with you and keep you strong. Hugs, dale...brandon\'s mom
I just passed the first year, so I don\'t know what the second year will be like. I know for months I have felt such an emptiness. I can\'t believe that it has been a year....I did not lose my son from suicide but from cancer...I hope your days get brighter. Take care, Sandi
I wish that I could take away your emptiness! I hope that the new support group helps!!
Love you so much!!!
I give you so much credit, you are broken-hearted, but you are reaching out and that is good. This support group is wonderful and any additional grief support you may find, in my opinion, is always helpful. May you find peace in the support of other survivors and your family. Sincerely, BarbaraWawa (Barb)
In the giving are our moments of healing. Thank you for letting us know where you find yourself on your journey and yes, the holidays are never easy yet somehow with the passage of time the ragged and jagged edges seem to soften for many of us. This was my experience this year as it was my third Christmas without our son. Not sure how it all works yet somehow healing is happening even when we don\'t believe that it could be. Gentle care for this day and in the ones ahead. Hugs, Joanie
