Empty
Another holiday is here and although this is the second Thanksgiving since I lost my son the empty feeling is still there and the joy of this holiday has been lost in that emptiness. It is surprising how, at times, it is so fresh. I don't have so many bad days but there are still days that I have the feeling that my heart is going to burst. I want to thank all of you for your support and realize that we are all in the same place. It is so nice to have people that know just how you feel and can understand what we are going through.
God bless.
God bless.

I once read that the holidays after losing a child are like being kids with your nose pressed up against the window pane of a candy shop and seeing all the excited, happy people inside having a grand time. So near and yet so far.
We are all in the same boat but I feel certain that there will be a time when the holiday season will bring some of our old sense of wonder and gratitude ~ not this year, perhaps not next year, but some time down the road....
Peace and blessings to you and your family ~ Debbie
Wishing you peace on your second Thanksgiving without your son, Lance. It\'s gets easier to tolerate the holidays as the years pass by, but it will never be as it was when our children were here with us. But I believe you have a beautiful wife and daughter to help you through it. Truly your friend, BarbaraWawa
I know my friend. It is my second Thanksgiving without my son Eddie and it has been peaceful, easier than last year but colorless and empty. For me today I am grateful to at least have a little peace this year, but it does feel empty. As Debbie said maybe in the future down the road we will again have some joy. Love to you and precious Lance, Linda
