Empty
Empty. That's the emotion that I've been feeling the most since losing my husband. My heart and soul feels like an empty glass. I try find happiness in life and occasionally I do. Very frequently, the empty and sad feelings barge in and take over. I hope with time, these feelings lessen.

I tend to agree with that. I was thinking yesterday afternoon that I feel like I\'m on autopilot. I do the things that I\'m supposed to do - take care of things at home - go to work - eat (sometimes), sleep, go thru the motions, but I\'m not really feeling anything, but sadness.
I do find happiness in some things - I do laugh and joke - I do have fun at times, but I still feel like I\'m on autopilot. It\'s just a weird feeling.
I also hope and pray that these feelings will change for the better. Hugs to you,
Chris
I stil get the feelings of emptiness after 16 months. The glass fills up over time. Find something that you love to do to occupy your time and it will get easier to deal with the pain and emptiness.
I so agree with you on that, I also feel empty so much of the time. I keep busy and do have good times with friends now but it is such hard work that has to be planned just to try and plug a little of that emptiness. It never was like this before, I didn\'t have to plan for something every day and still be constantly feeling that it\'s not enough, I just lived and was happy and my life felt full. I hope it gets better for all of us.
Ah, yes, the empty feeling. I think it is because our hearts have been broken and the sadness has filled us. Sadness doesn\'t make our hearts full though, only love. The love that has left our hearts empty because the one we loved so much is no longer here. Does that make any sense? It does to me. Hugs, Joely
