Em's hospital update
Well I am new to this site and so far find it interesting. Hopefully it will be helpful to hear from others in my same situation. Just talked to Em. Day 2 in the hospital. Went to visitation this afternoon and she looks wonderful! I know she hates to be there but it seems to be the best thing for her now. She just needed the safety and the structure that they can provide right now. She is actively participating in all her group therapies and doing well managing her anger outbursts. I hope she'll get to some home soon, but not too soon. I don't want her to discharge before she's ready...

Try to stay positive yourself. While it may not be where she wants to be at the moment. She is safe and we tend to breathe a little easier when we can say those words. Do something for you to take care of you and find those special moments to pamper yourself in the process. I like to think of it as banking up for the days to come.
