The news is sad this morning about the passing of Elizabeth Edwards from this world to the next. She has inspired me as she did more than just survive after the difficulties she faced in her life occurred. Her son Wade passed in a fatal car accident in 1996. He was 16. Today she is reunited with him.

She was a grand women who was able to pass to many much advice and courage in the style of life she lived and her many public appearances and books. So Sad to see the good dying young.

I too was so saddened by Elizabeth Edwards death yesterday and cried copiously when I heard. the news I remember something she said in one of her interviews which struck me. Death holds no fear because I have a son who has died/ I feel the same way.Sandi

She was a wonderful woman and seems to have died in peace and grace. Yes, we lost a sister in grief, as Ann wrote. How very sad that she not only lost her son Wade at 16 but then had to leave her other 3 children so prematurely, one just entering adulthood, the other still so young.

What an inspiration she was and continues to be. I had not read all of these quotes and will be putting them into my journal. Said from the heart of a woman who knows. Wade was there to catch her and I can only imagine their joy in being together again. Now, it will take a loving village to be there for her other children and I read where she began writing letters to them sharing her wisdom and love knowing that she might not be with them in the way that she wanted to be.
