ELECTION DAY....IS IT OVER YET?
I have been waiting for this FOREVER and cannot wait until tomorrow is over. Of course I am praying so hard for the change that is needed . (I do also realize all of us have our reasons to chose as we will.) I plan on gimping to my new polling place tomorrow bright and early. I want to go home and take a breath and know I did try to make my voice heard (for whatever that is worth) The sad thing is if it goes the other way I will once again feel like I have never been heard and am completely discounted. That is what's hard for me. My entire life I have lived quietly in the shadows, never really counting for anything. When I do try and step up I was all to quickly put back in my place and silenced and manipulated . If I have learned one thing it is to never stop trying.
By tomorrow night we may stop seeing the damn political ads bashing each other, but with so much anger and resentment built between us all these days, I am afraid we will find whatever side loses it will not stop there. I suspect days of recalls before anyone actusally believes the final vote (with all the deception and corruption I think it is hard for anyone to finally believe anything. )
Please let this come to a decision peacefully tomorrow.
My sister is doing better than I expected. She got a little teary eyed when she first saw me, but after hugs , me telling her I love her and that this is what she needs right now she was ok. We talked and joked like normal. It was so good to see her smile. She has a very short attention span and it breaks my heart to see her looking distant at times, but at the very least there are still many times she is still with us.
My thoughts and prayers are with so many of us ( as we all do need some divine intervention if we can get it.) I have to admit, I happened to recall an old phone number from a friend of hers from many years ago and I called and she and I talked for almost 2 hours. I updated her on my sister and we talked about her family and ours and reconnected . She and her family are in my prayers as well . (She did remind me of the importance of prayer. We both were brought up to believe we were discounted and our voices never were really heard. Yet she always continued to pray, so it was the least I could do as well)
May you all have a restful night and a better day tomorrow.
Hugs, Kim

Kim I did the no excuse absentee ballot last week or week before.....we got to vote early.....so I am done....I work in morning tomorrow anyway.....hobble as you can to the poles and take your package they send of sample ballot to know where to put your marks unless you use the electronic voting booths there....we all had paper ballots until tomorrow when they use the electronic ones....
I know how the power praying can cause changes.....so keep those prayers going....I have had many of my prayers answered....
I know a lot of people have anxiety about this election. It’s so hard to be a minority in a group on many levels including politics. I hope everyone gets out there and votes because I’m sure people worry about exactly what you are saying and give up before even trying.
I was determined and did hobble and stood in line for a good 10 minutes or so only to discover my polling place covered 2 districts and mine was around the back and UPSTAIRS. The man said it would probably be easier to walk around. My cane in hand I just looked at him and could feel myself tearing up. Instead I did drive around and was lucky their latest rush had just cleared out so I was put right through. I came home, took a breath and am now just waiting... and praying like the rest of the world.
