Elbow Update
I went to the doctor and I left frustrated. Here are the positives: no dislocation and no fractures. All he did was an x-ray, and made his diagnosis off that, which was "Post-traumatic stiffness." He did not do a thorough enough exam, or let alone order a CT or MRI to figure out why I couldn't fully get my arm straight or to turn it well. He didn't even give me any stong pain medication for how unbearable it has been, but told me that I did not need the sling. The options he gave me were to do to PT or to wait. I chose to wait, but as you can tell I have my doubts. Any recommendations? I am thinking of waiting another 3-5 weeks, and if no change, then go see him or another elbow doc. What do you think I should do? I have noticed something recently. I am not scared of the dark like I was. However, if there were a power outage I still could have a panic attack because of me having them for over 4 years now.

Thats great about the dark. I still need to work on that. If you can, I would go to another doctor (if you dont have the x ray you can get it from the first doctor and bring it to the second one) because I do not feel like you should just suffer in pain and not know whats going on. Im glad its not fractured though
I encourage you to get a second opinion NOW. Great praise report on the dark!
i have been to physical therapy for my back a few times and it works wonders for me...that may be worth a shot......
glad you aren\'t scared of the dark like you were...that is a monumental step! i\'m proud of you!
God bless
I would try to get a second opinion
I wouldn\'t wait 3 to 5 weeks get a second opinion or see a chiropractor, really helped my husband when he injured himself shoveling snow last year. I would even consider the physical therapy you do not need to stay in pain. I speak healing over you in Jesus name. Touch her from the top of her head to the souls of her feet.
