Egg Transfer Today - 3 Embies Transferred...now we wait....
The egg transfer took place today and I was relieved to hear that all 3 embryos looked good. Due to my age, the RE recommended we transfer all 3 which we did. Since this was our first IVF we were very surprised when they handed us photos of the embies as well as a sonogram picture (whcih really shows thing) of where they placed them. DH was with me for the transfer and I think he feels more of a part of it now. The RE has me on 3 days of bedrest but DH is trying to make things even more stringent. He was trying to talk her into not letting me drive for a couple of weeks since we have sports cars that are low to the ground and you can feel every bump. Thank God she found this funny (although DH was very SERIOUS) explaining that they aren't just going to fall out. Since we have gotten home, DH has been driving me crazy! When I get up to use the restroom, he runs into the bedroom and says that I am walking to hard to get there or using to much force or suggesting that I should walk slower. Dear God! I swear, if he comes in here one more time with one of those stupid comments, I am seriously going to hurt him... I'm already bored out of my mind. I'm not much of a t.v. person and sitting in one area for long causes me to fidget. Plus I keep thinking that there are a number of doctors (or so I have read) that don't recommend any bedrest, that the embies do better with moving around and getting the blood flowing. Plus I haven't really felt that great today. I'm still feeling down and in the dumps from the BFN's that some of my DS friends have received. I keep trying to remind myself that it will happen...for all of us, just not always at the same time and/or when we specifically want it to. I hope everyone has a great weekend...

LOL about the husband! That\'s sweet, though. But I agree about the bedrest thing. I\'ve read the same things and my Dr doesn\'t recommend more than the day of transfer. But he does say avoid heavy lifting, no vacuuming or scrubbing floors, which is all fine by me! (LOL) And DH has been through this 2x with me so he knows the drill. My life or life as we know it will not end if the floor does not get mopped or the carpet vacuumed. (Although it DOES bother me and I have to bite my tongue to not stress about it)
And yes, the pictures are great. They are your very 1st baby photos! No one who conceives naturally can say they have EMBRYO photos of their children! All of your friends will be envious! (smile)
And I feel you about the BFN\'s for the other ladies on DS. Sometimes its gets to be too much for me and I need to take a break from the site for awhile.

YAY!! 3 beautiful embies. Tuck them in, take it easy and enjoy the time off. Yes, it can be boring and tedious to sit around but it is only for a short time and good reason. I am really stoked for you and DH.
You\'re DH and mine sound like they could be brothers...that is hilarious....sweet too. We\'ve got some wonderful men though. That\'s one blessing I am thankful for everyday. Even driving you crazy, I\'m sure you feel the same.ha! Sounds like everything went great! We are in the 2WW together, hon.
My RE doesn\'t feel bedrest is necessary either (not three days, anyway). I would enjoy taking some time off and camping out on the sofa with some of my fav. movies!
When I get the occasional migraine, DH makes soup (once I am ready to eat something) and brings it to me, so I think he would be like your DH(s)... I guess we will find out later this year. :-D

I am glad all three weree good and am praying they are getting snuggled in. You DH is so funny! I am sure it is not as funny for you but it very sweet because of the reasons he is acting like he is, especially the driving part! :-)
Lauri, I am so glad that they said to transfer 3 embryos, that is what they did with us. I think its really cute what your hubby is doing, although it can get annoying after a while...lol. I am praying for you that this is your time, and that you get your BFP!!
Three embryos is great. It only takes one! What were the quality (cells, day, etc)? The 2ww sucks. It\'s hard to stay positive and not think about all the stuff you read. Hang in there.
LOL at your DH! That is so funny. I am so glad my DH is not that crazy after our transfers. I read him your entry but I think I was just giving him ideas for our transfer next week!! LOL! I Hope your embies are snuggling in.
