Edward M Hallowell, M.D. (WORRY ) book

Not that any of us are worrying about anything :)
Front cover reads as follows
Edward M. Hallowell, M.D. Co - author of Delivered from Distraction
Hope and Help for a common condition
This reassuring book offers the perfect antidote to fear, nervousness and prevalent feelings of anxiety.

Definition of Worry : to strangle , throttle , kill by violence ...to seize by the throat and tear or lacerate , e.g. dogs or wolves attacking sheep ( OXford English Dictionary )
It helped me get on with my life and deal with some life changing issues. Edward wrote this as he himself suffered from worry. Storys are about him or other's on the journey to overcome worry and live life. Hey ! who wouldn't want that. It does not specifically deal with cancer instead the barriers to clear thinking.

Love to all , oh...if you want I can mail you mine and you can always mail it back ...It was well read when I needed it...Gail

This sounds like it might be a book we heard about down here. We have a National Radio programme which is wonderful and the presenters call people all over the world about books and research. ( Only criteria is that they understand enough English and can speak it it seems as well as not being overtly religious in any sense). We often hear from authors in Uk or USA or Canada and there was one a couple of weeks ago I only half heard as in the car which was on this kind of topic. Thought - I want that book - wish I knew the title. So now I can look it up on Amazon. It may not be the one as I am not at all sure I heard or agree with the definition of worry but if it is -thanks.

Wow, I thought worry was less savage, but I think you are right in that it can rip your insides out.

My dear mother always used to say \"Why worry when you can pray?\" Don\'t know if that was original or she heard it somewhere else, but it was a favorite of hers, and all these years later, I can still hear her say it. Good sound advice.
