EC takes the life out of ... life
We were full of hope for treatments for EC after diagnosis. The chemo and radiation was awful, but my husband survived. Surgery was next; quite an ordeal but he survived. At first scan they found EC in a lymph node. The proton radiation therapy couldn't accept him right away, and by the time they did EC was also in an adrenal gland. He tried FOLFOX at the same time as radiation but could not tolerate. Ended up in hospital with pneumonia. He will complete proton radiation but says no more chemo. I'm so scared and my heart aches for all with EC in their lives.

Hi Wearied, You are not alone. My sister (59) has gone through much of the same ordeal, with a great fighting spirit, but now the cancer has returned throughout her abdomen. She is taking a small amount of chemo as palliative treatment, and seems to be tolerating it much better. I understand your feelings. It\'s so hard to watch a loved one suffer like this. Sending good thoughts your way.
Linda, So they don\'t want to try chemo to get rid of what they can? Is it too much? If/when my husband gets to that point .. I have to remember that God is still the one in control. She could become a living miracle. Peace to you both.
I\'m so sorry of his complications. Chemo & radiation was pretty rough on me too. We go through that & then face surgery, get through that, and we hope to be on the recovery to being healthy & cancer free. It would be great if the Proton therapy is helpful. He must know what he\'s able to do and what direction he should take. He may, also, want to keep on his Drs. for his future other options and get a second opinion, as well, if he needs something more and feels he wants to give it a try? I\'m so sorry he\'s had even more to deal with beyond recovering from his surgery. Thinking of you both and lifting prayers. Brenda
