Eating Less to Prevent Pain
This week I am working on eating less. I have read some of the helpful comments on Daily Strength, and someone suggested that we who have diverticulitis eat maybe half as much as we would normally eat. I know that this is sound advice, but every once in a while I decide not to follow it.
I am careful not to drink milk, eat ice cream and I hardly ever eat red meat. I do occasionally decide to keep eating, knowing that I will pay the price later, and without fail I will later declare that I will never overeat again.
One of my 2015 New Year's goal is to eat less at mealtime, approximately half of the amount a normal person without diverticulitis would eat.
