Eating Disorder? Really?
I had an incredible time at church today but I am emotionally exhausted. I am surpised out how difficult I am taking this news about having an eating disorder. Maybe I'm going through a grieving process.
I've worked my entire life trying to be healthy by eating right and watching my weight. I feel like everything I thought was right was actually hurting me.
I saw my Psych Doctor last week and I have my medication to get me started. I now have an appointment with a therapist next Thursday. I'm ready to tackle this thing head-on. I am also reading "Intuitive Eating."
I am still in shock but I am really looking forward to meeting with my therapist and learning everything I need to learn. I am hoping it will be freeing.

You are doing the right things. I have not gone to any therapists re: binge eating. I don\'t want you to divulge anything personal but if you learn anything insightful that would help the rest of us please share. I\'d love some tips. I went to a baby shower yesterday and felt like I was going out of my mind watching almost everyone else there eating cake. I wouldn\'t take any because I am 100% sure frosting is a trigger food for me and would be my downfall. I was genuinely afraid to take even a little bite.
Best of luck with your doctor and therapist. I wish you well.... Dot
