Eating bad things
I need to throw out the lemon juice I have in the fridge. How do you know when lemon juice is bad? When it gives you the runs two days in a row. I really don't know how else to tell. It's one of those small lemon-shaped containers that's totally opaque and you can't see inside to see if there is mold in it. I had some lemon juice in my soup last night, and I had stomach problems all night. I slept like crap, just not for the reason I thought I was going to. So I'm going to avoid getting that type of lemon juice now, and get the type where you can see in the bottle, and just freeze it when I'm not using it. I love lemon juice, though... it's part of being Mexican. You have lemon on everything- even watermelon! I love watermelon with some chili powder, salt and lemon. It's so yummy I'm drooling thinking about it. I should get some watermelon at the store next time I go so I can have some. With some new lemon juice, of course.
Today was pretty boring other than that. I went to the gym and worked my way up to 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer, and then did my normal warm up/cool down walking to the gym and back. Geo is still sick a bit, and so we didn't do anything fun today. I do have therapy tomorrow, and I was thinking of getting a pedicure afterwards. I would have to borrow some money from Geo, but I get my check on Friday, so it's not like it's going to be a huge thing. I would just pay the rent with my check. I need to remember that I'm going to do that tomorrow so I can wear my sandals to therapy and my shorter pants so I don't mess up my toes. I like getting pedicures, what girl doesn't? Actually, I used to be scared of them since I have calluses from Hell and I know that the women talk about me behind my back, but I just pretend that I don't know Spanish and listen to them.
My mood has been pretty stable today... no big swings. I've been just trying to feel better with my stomach and all that. I weighed myself, and I'm down to 247 now. I was reading my friend BlueToes' journal, and he was talking about how the medication he is on is making him gain weight, and I realized that the reason I'm not losing weight like I used to is because of the medication. I would love to be able to drop 2-4 pounds in a week, but I'm doing that in a month now. I know they say slow weight loss is the way to go, but I do want to meet a goal of being at 200 pounds by the end of the year, and I was hoping for a jump in the beginning so I could kinda wait out the plateaus later. I do need to stop hurting my feet, though. My feet are always hurting at night for some unknown reason. It's different places, and they feel better the next day so I don't know what it could be. I know it's linked to my foot being off, so I need to get those insoles when I can.
Tomorrow I get my new home phone installed and I'm excited. I haven't been able to make clear calls from home since I got my home phone because the call quality of Vonage kinda sucks. But, on the other hand, I did get to call my friend Letti in Hungary, so it was cool to be able to do that. I just have to remember to cancel Vonage when Comcast leaves so they don't charge me for another month (my bill starts on the 4th). I guess I got the right start date, since after the 3rd I get my check. I didn't know when I signed up for service that I would get my check on the 3rd, but it just happened to work out that way.
Sleep/Stress/Food- Sleep sucked last night, since I was up and down all night with my stomach problems, stress was kinda high because of it. Food was okay, but I did splurge and go to get Mexican food when I knew I was going to be low on calories today. I just need to be good tomorrow, which shouldn't be a problem, especially now that there is not going to be any more tons of Mt Dew involved. I have Crystal Light in case I want something flavored to drink, and diet Lipton tea.
