In this class, students will work to continue developing their drawing and painting skills through a variety of excercises tailored to this age group. Fresh term topics will ensure students remain engaged and constantly introduced to new themes, techniques, mediums and artists. These art classes are suitable for advanced primary school children and early high school students. The structured lessons are designed for students to learn to “see and be” like an artist. Whether you are a beginer or wish to spark an old passion, these classes are designed for learning the fundamentals drawing class for kids of painting and drawing, as well as developing your own style and self expression. Suitable for beginners as well as intermediate level for students who wish to expand their knowledge.
It is designed for one year and consists of four levels (10 lessons per level) and 27 software projects. Students learn the basics of text-based coding using Processing, a simplified version of Java. Students develop a variety of 2D and 3D digital art animations, apps and games. This course covers the key computer science concepts such as functions, loops, if statements, variables, lists, booleans, recursive algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, and how these concepts are used in Java. Students use an online programming environment Openprocessing.org, allowing them to advance their coding skills outside their classroom. Highly recommended to those who enjoy digital art and video games.

Students design sophisticated applications like Baby Yoda Trainers, 3D Printer Simulators, and Binary Calculators. At Art Class Sydney we run a Wednesday morning and evening and a Thursday morning class in painting and drawing. Classes are structured around different subjects and look at a variety of artists methods and genres. We also run monthly Sunday workshops in a variety of media and subjects including workshops in drawing, painting and watercolour from still life, portraits, landscape and abstraction.
