Easter weekend

Even though we always were at church, Easter's not a time of intense spirituality for me... I just didn't FEEL it. For us it was mostly another big family holiday like Thanksgiving. The ham, the chocolate, etc. Getting together with cousins, grandparents, singing at church.
Still I have to reflect on the many messages we get from the story. One that I started to write about in a message last week has kind of stuck with me, and been the source of reflection recently. It's about how important it is for us to tell our stories... the story of the baby, the child, the young person, the gifts he or she brought to the world, all the things we'll never forget. His name. His voice. I can understand now how important it is for each of us to know that our child will never be forgotten -- that his name is said with love. Who does this remind me of? Yup.
Happy Easter.
