Easter joys

Yesterday was the first day that I did not cry..not the whole day. We were up at 5am to get the Sonrise service ready. It is an annual service at our house and afterward we put on a breakfast and an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. We were so busy and it felt wonderful. My DOL came and brought little Phoenix for his first hunt. I did have a moment of sighing that his Dad was not here, but he certainly does not lack for attention,  as all the children in our church make him feel so loved.
My DOL stayed inside during the hunt and talked to my Pastor and his wife about Patrick and I was so grateful for that. Then she said that I could take Phoenix to church with us for the regular service.
What a wonderful service it was..people were dancing and the kids in the youth group were up front just praising God. my heart was so full when I saw my little grandson get out of the pew and start dancing down the aisles. I almost almost cried because his dad would have gotten a kick out of watching his son dancing ( Patrick was the best dancer ever, truly) , but then I realized that he WAS seeing him. I was thinking/ praying that was the case when the song I spoke about in my last journal entry, That Patrick had sang to me, 10,000 Reasons Bless The Lord , started to be sung. How obvious God can be! He WAS there. I could feel him, I could hear him singing in my mind and my heart. Just then Phoenix came over to my son David's arms and started singing loudly the word Dad to the music..just that word over and over again. What was there to cry over at that point. My lost son was found right there all around us. The resurrection power of a very loving God and my heart is grateful.

Easter... what a wonderful time of year and not just for Christians, but a rebirth for all... its a gift from Jesus, they just don\'t realize it.
Many years ago I was telling a jewish friend of mine about Easter,,,
her comment to me, well Christmas is your most important religious holiday... where does Easter come? (she was trying to compare just like Jews have Rosh Hosanna, Yom Kippur, and many others.
I told her in my humble opinion Easter is our most important event... Yes, Christmas marks that Jesus was born of woman but Easter we are reminded that he died for us, and arose to live forever at God\'s right hand so that we may be forgiven our sins. so that we,also, will live with God for eternity.
