We are at the Mayan "end of the world" and already fulfill all the signs. wow! seriously.
wednesday sucked. FOUR people were out. two for medical, one a spot on his lung (he smokes), one for vericose vein surgery, its hereditary and normally done with lazer but his is so bad its not and now he has a brace on his leg, he's 42. that is when it starts, over 40 your organs start to die, internally you are dying, even if you feel healthy.we are on borrowed time.
another out, because of his age - the old guy that causes trouble all the time, his wife called requesting he work two days on then one day off then two on. the other is away. then itturns out, one of the reliable guys has gout (he gets it yearly), omg everyone at once!
then i go to the new house and two of the animals have sniffles. grrrr. hoping that is just from the cold. we are so ill-equipped for cold in florida that when its cold like this, even with the heat full blast at the beach house, it is only 70 degrees maxbecause there are so many windows. wow! up north the house is newer andbetter insulated. the smaller rooms heat up nicely, the bigger rooms are always colder. in one room i keep a separate heater and crank it allll the way to 83. i am so not good with cold weather.
treated k's cat and am trying to get him to let it go to a vet. something is wrong with her ear. seriously. there is blood. there appears to be a mass of some sort. the cat is 14. the cat that i couldn't find from the sheriff's office, showed himself completely the other night. yay! it has been hiding inside the new house. really good hider. the new one is inside a cupboard, which seems to be what new ones do over there.
the mange cat appears to be cured. yay! i think that was the worst case of mange that i have seen so far. ivermectin is a miracle drug, for real. this cat LOVES the dogs and is soso with other cats. he is super friendly. found his paperwork today but still want details. if he was dumped because of mange i can help them. they can just call if something like that happens again. its so easy to treat animals if people would just get paperback, "caring for your pet" and "home remedies" books and animal catalogs (the catalogs are free). vet care IS expensive, but there are natural ways as well. and natural is usually better.
the big one that is sneezing, wants to be held but i'm allergic to him. i'm still allergic to some breeds of cats. also noticed a new one outside, but i think its cindi's down the road. don't know who it belongs to. very friendly. (the asshole is still walking up and down the main road making noise).
went out for hot lunch buffet with j. but STILL didn't get over to the museam. grrr. i keep running out of time. went for my massage but the guy wasn't as good as last time, i need head, neck, shoulders done as that is where the injuries are and he kept doing the back which i didn't even order. it still helps though. i have an article on massage used as a healing tool and for preventative medicine. it also aids circulation and healing in general. can't believe i actually have to do all this, i got away with being healthy for soooo many years, except for allergies etc.
i received some more info on a masters in gerontolgy course. i know why this interests me, its because I am old now myself and i want to know what the hell is going on.

so we go to the buffet and i load up on shrimp and cantalope. yum. then soup, sushi and bourban chicken with fresh green beans (yum). their food is good. a couple of seasoned fries that i shouldn\'t be eating and icecream for dessert. the whole time i am thinking, what exactly am i eating? what is the level of quality if this is restaurant food. its a buffet anything could be in this. i\'m getting paranoid. lol.

the cat has spots that appear to be growing in fur, i HOPE. also thought it could be the opposite, so more to read up on if that is true. he is conforming. he is very sweet and LOVES the dogs, he sleeps WITH the dogs, so where ever he came from they must have had a dog. he is sooooo big. k put in the other cat door, but so far none of them are using it. still a LOT more to do over there. no idea if he is still enjoying this \"project\" or tired of it. i told rn, i hate this crap. when we used to put up developments, they were modular and the hardest part was clearing the land and putting up the foundation. the houses were NEW. never had to go through anything and the houses we bought up north were always in one piece with LOTS of built ins, because the whole piecing it together thing i loathe. the only white elephant we had was the conversion from apartment to condo thing in hollywood and we learned a lot from it, but it was a pain in the ass.
