dx and cardioversion

Finally saw a new cardiologist who decided I have been in af continuously for 6 months so I am still a candidate for cardioversion. My last cardiologist wanted to just put in a pacemaker. That scared the heck out of me. I'm on coumadin now and am waiting for procedure date since my INR has been good for 4 weeks. I'm in fair health otherwise with fibromyalgia, Sjogrins Syndrome, Osteoarthritis in knees and hands and a few other problems. But I manage to walk a couple of miles a day and stay active. It has been so hard since starting the coumadin though. I'm also on Diltiazem and Digoxin. All this started two years ago. Out of the blue my blood pressure soared and last year the af started. I'm extremely nervous about the cardioversion, but hope it works. I'm sixty six years old and my mother died when she was sixty eight so that worries me too. The coumadin has hit me hard and even after 4 weeks I'm having problems with weight gain and fatigue. Very depressing, and I find myself trancing out sometimes-just not able to think cognitively. Well here's hope for the cardioversion.
