Due Process
Am I losing my impatience with "due process?" I still don't love the waiting or the sitting with unanswered questions, but am feeling the benefits of working with the process instead of fighting it. The house bidding process has moved into the closing phase. I have continued looking at other properties while I wait and even reviewed the possibilities of going back to Texas to resume my place in the business as usual there. Certainty unavailable, but I am feeling fairly confident with the decision to move into the closing phase of the current process.
My sleep patterns are out of kilter this week. I have been sleeping extra during the day and unable to sleep through the night. It feels okay. Extra-ordinary times call for extra-ordinary measures. Some of the dreams have been intense, but not disconcertingly so. The intense dreams have felt like the natural result of trying to sleep beyond what my body actually needs.
The feedback from Texas feels like an honest evolution in the family cycle. I think. Hubs is my most confident read since he is the one I talk to most often. The middle-aged kids are as mysterious as ever and that is okay since their mysteries are now at a safe enough distance that the surprise element is no longer assuming its way onto my personal business agenda.
Still stepping small and praying big. Letting God lead the dance as best I can. Still monitoring for that kink which makes it so difficult to distinguish God's voice from my personal psychosis and control issues.
