Driveway finished photos

It wouldn't let me add anymore photos so I had to start a new journal.

The front and back walkways were previously concrete which I made years ago. They were broken up pretty bad especially the long front walkway so I had him put pavement over them.

The job was finished a little after 1 pm.  He took off to do a parking lot and came back later for his money.  I told him his crew did a very good job...almost like they knew what they were doing! So he laughed and said, we've done a few of them.

so I like that it is done well....I did not know they also put in sidewalks....so I see in driveway pic a sidewlk going to the front of house....is that the one goes to the stairs....then the one that sidewalk goes to street meets that one someplace behind where we cannot see?

some how I put you much further deep into the woods....LOL I guess you have a fairly large property.....

@ Atpeacemary....I love my flowers, I have lots of lilacs, rose bushes, bleeding hearts, tulips, lady slippers, etc.. I'll take photos of them when I get a round to it. My magnolias were beautiful this year but they are all gone buy. I love their smell all over my property.

@ billwfriend....Both walkways connect the front and back decks to the driveway....We use asphalt for everything up here. It gives a little which helps when the frost comes along in the winter.

@ Spiritriver...Thanks!

@ jptexas....It's mostly straight, I'll put it that way. I have bricks that line that side and it's hard to move them to straighten them so I did the best I could and decided that's good enough lol!

@ TheChickenChronicles...Thanks, I love to putter around the house. There is always something to do!

@ Mid and easy to shovel in the winter! :)

Nice! I’m sure clearing snow will be easier. I’ve found the trick is to clear past the edges so melting drains before freezing up again at night:)

@ finallyawakenow......I should have had it built it up for that reason but it would have costs me more. Basicly all he did was scrape up the old asphalt pieces and grade what was under it, before laying down new pavement. I think he may have brought in some fill because he had to before laying down new and I think there is a bit more slope to it then before. He does alot of road work for the state after he does residual work and all I could think about was that he made my driveway like I=95... I could see a slight pitch or rather a crown to it, for drainage which is how they make roads up here.

Yeay on that drainage pitch!

I called today to find out which concrete sealer from industrial tool and rental company to but to seal my driveway! It is going to be $185/five gallon bucket but its the good stuff that lasts longer and does not slicken up when it gets wet like another type that makes concrete look wet all time with shiny surface

Thankyou everyone!

I might put some home depot colored rocks on the edge for drainage....not sure yet.
