Dreaded call from Mom

Well, I just got a call from my Mom in Florida. Obviously I could not begin to tell her about every hub going on as they have issues going in in Florida. I tried everything to stay positive and I did but I could tell in her " tone if voice" that she was sad also. I spoke positive about being back to work. She was asking why I didn't accept some invites from my sister to go to some different places , truth would have been that I simply cannot afford them. My heart was breaking as I was trying very hard to use positive tone but I felt that I had to withhold my issues as she can't so anything from Florida for me plus it's by dilemma.
