Drat! and other things...

Found out that I can't take my name off the credit card without dying first (literally) because we were both co-applicants on the card.  So much for that.  I can only control what is under my control, so that'll be my focus.
I'm listening as a book on tape:  Suze Orman's "Women & Money".  Excellent book.  It really simplifies things & breaks money matters down into managable chunks.  I recommend it for anyone, women or men.  It's even better than Frankel's book, because instead of badgering you into changing your way of thinking (to be like a man), she meets you where you're at and applies your way of thinking (like a woman) to your money.
Best part is that some of the action items she recommends I do anyway, so that's a nice affirmation.
Things have been going OK with my son.  For the most part, he's ready to get to school between 7:15 - 7:20.  But that still cuts it real close.  I'd like him to be in the car by 7:15 since traffic at the school is real bad.  He's still not eating breakfast or brushing teeth in the morning.    But he doesn't take as long in getting his shoes on & getting out the car.  Usually his morning attitude ranges from not talkative to downright nasty (today was nasty).
In the evening, his attitude is much better, especially right after dinner.  He like watching TV with us & likes to get close to me to watch me on Facebook (I think he's curious about it).  Most of the time (not always) he'll give me a good night hug.
After school on Wednesdays, he's started peer tutoring in Algebra.  3rd quarter is about to end, so I'm not sure how much good it's going to do at this point.  But I feel we have to at least make some sort of effort, especially since it's taken so long to get to the point of scheduling a PPT (which is on May 6).
Tomorrow, I'm going to a simulcast by Beth Moore, "So Long, Insecurity."  I have a feeling that it (as well as the book it's based on) springs from one of the topics of her Esther study about women's fearfulness.  I can relate, so I'm hoping to get something positive out of it!
