Dr. Visit

Hi everyone,  Steve saw the onocologist yesterday for bloodwork and a general visit.  He has decided to let Steve stay on a 3 week on 2 weeks  off schedule of Sutent. He is generally pleased that Steve has tolerated Sutent so much better on this schedule.  Of course if the cancer starts growing it will be back to the much harder 4wk on 2 wk off.
My heart and mind continues to be with Linda, Kathy and Meriel, and Becca.  Time is of the essence for these folks.  I know I have left out many names.  Please forgive me, I can't remember all the names, but I do pray for EVERYONE  on this site.
And of course all of you who have said goodbye to your loved one. My heart has a burden for each of you.
Please remember my Steve when you pray.  He has told me it feels like a time bomb just waiting to go off.  Our faith is strong and we will handle it when the time comes. I send each person of this site my hugs and prayers.

I am so pleased Wanda that Steve is doing so well on this schedule. So good not to have to tolerate the awful Sutent side effects for too long at a time. Wanda please tell your dear Steve that I hold him in the light every day. I can imagine just how he feels, as we all know perfectly well that with mRCC, anything can happen tomorrow, and turn our normal upside down in a heartbeat. But tell him too that he remains a massive inspiration for all of us, and you know, I just hope hope so much that he stays around long enough for them to finally find that magic bullet.
Thank you for your very special caring Wanda. We\'re blessed to have you on our side.
My love, Meriel

Thanks Wanda for always being a cheerful and positive voice, yet one filled with compassion and sincere caring for others. Let us hope that Steve and many others will benefit from that \'magic bullet\' Meriel refers to........it cannot come soon enough!

Dear Wanda,
Such good news that Steve is doing well on the Sutent. We just can\'t let ourselves think about the future....only today. Like Meriel said, dealing with mRCC brings constant ups and downs. I, too, pray for a cure SOON! I, too, hurt so for our DS sisters and brothers that are going through such horrific times. It\'s wonderful that all of us are uniting in prayer for all.
Take care, Sweetie. Daily prayers go out for you, Steve, Meriel, Gloria, Kathy, Linda, Karen, Carol, Gail, and everyone in our special DS family.
Hugs, Ingrid
