Dr visit
Just got back from the rheumatologist, all went pretty good. They did a bone density test, all my blood work and such is very good so no issues with the meds. She did say that i can possibly reduce the prednisone depending on what the respirology Dr. says.
God I sincerely hope so.....maybe then I will have a fighting chance to take some of this weight off. It is so not fair when you try and try watch every little thing i put in my mouth and exercise as much as I am able and still gain weight!!!!!
It is costing me a fortune buying new clothes, i fugure maybe I should just buy a moumou and be done with it....lol (not)
At least shoes and bags always fit. I did a little retail therapy when I was done at the doctors and picked up 2 new pairs of shoes and a jacket so all in all not a bad day!
Now if the weather would cooperate so I can ride my new bike!

What great news! Fingers crossed you can start decreasing your prednisone. I\'m down to 4mg a day. Having blood work tomorrow and if everything goes well. The Rheumy is going to start reducing my Imuran. I go for a bone density test in a week and a half.
Isn\'t awful when you gain weight. I never have anything to wear. Same 3 outfits and some sweat pants. Yikes!
Glad you treated yourself to a shopping spree. Certainly takes the mind of being sick. Keep it up girl.

I get to make my call to reduce my steroids today from 20-10mg. I can hardly wait!!! I hear and hope this is true that as soon as you come off the steroids the weight just melts off. At least that is what my rheumy told me when he kept telling me how fat I had gotten. Thanks doc. It was more like a joke because when I saw him before I was about 20 lbs underweight. I\'ve gained all 20 back, just not in the right places. If I\'m feeling well enough today, I\'m going to get a new pair of shoes myself. Had a $50 gift card since my Bday in Feb. I think it is time to use it. The weirdest thing about my weight gain is that all my clothes still fit. I must have looked like I was wearing sacks before. lol Hope you have a great day and get to decrease the prednisone.
