Dr Visit
Today I went to see my regular doctor. It took 3 hours, and about only 15 minutes of that was me with the actual doctor. I got there a bit early, hoping it would speed things up. My appointment was at 2:30 and I got called into the room at 3:30, so it was an hour exactly in the waiting area. Then it took them a long time to get my vitals. Then a student doctor comes in and takes my history (about 45 minutes worth) and then more waiting. I finally see the doctor, and he pokes and prods my stomach (owie!) and says that I have IBS, which I knew already. He told me to take Miralax and Librex and that those should help.
I was supposed to go into work today, but when I woke up I was so stressed and depressed. I still am depressed, and when I think about going into work I want to cry (like I did this morning). I do need to get my prescriptions, so I have to go to the clinic. I might as well work. I'm just scared of it all of a sudden. I don't know why. I think I'm getting into my funk- about the time when jobs fire me because I'm missing days and productivity is low. I can't help it. I do have to see my psych this month, so I can talk to him about it. He just raised my Celexa- I don't know what more he can do. I don't think I should be tapering meds right now since I'm unstable. I don't know. He should know. Oh well... I'm going to bed now. I'm tired and in pain.

Wow that was a horribly long doctor visit and then doc didnt even tell ya anything you didnt already know... im sorry... i know for me all that waiting would have sent my anxiety threw the roof.... but good for you to stick it out threw the whole appointment because i probly would have walked out.
Do you know whats stressing you out so much? In general whats adding to the stress? Like did something happen to trigger it the last time you was at work? Sometimes for me its so hard to figure out whats causing the stress ... it just happens. Challenging the negative thoughts is so much easier when you know whats causing it. Can you call and see how soon you can get into see your psych doc...maybe he has some sugjestion to help get past this time?
Hugggzzzzz keep trying you are doing good just dont let this little set back get to ya... keep fighting!
Boo on the IBS! I have colitis and share the miseries with you! It took me a while to figure out my \'tigger\' foods but ever now and again things go haywire for a while.
I absolutely and not a good waiting person...I go bonkers in waiting rooms and usually my blood pressure shows it!
Hope you feel better soon and shake the feeling of depression.
