Dr's visit
So today was my checkup with my rheumy..just feeling kinda weird about it!! I guess I'm really realizing that my health is more fragile than I thought. I always knew that having SLE wasn't anything minor but when I saw all the other things that were listed on that form, it was like reality slapped me in the face!! It really made me sad...I don't wanna be sick...I want to be a normal 30 yr old...I hate being the youngest person in the waiting room, thinking wow I'm probably aching just as much as that lil old man on the walker...hell, who knows, I might be on a walker soon too!! It's soooo unfair. Maybe if I clicked my heels together, we will all be cured!! A girl can wish!!

my daughter is 16 and she has lupus and is having her flares as we speak and her two docs told her that she needs to see a rhemy because here on guam we don\'t have any so we need to travel we don\'t have a lupus doc here so i\'m just wondering should we see a rhemy her flares are so bad?? so we can relate to how you are feeling
Joydan, I\'m so sorry you and your daughter has to endure this terrible disease!! I hope she feels better soon!! I agree with seeing a rheumy..they may be able to start her on some meds to shorten her flare!!
sorry it took so long for the reply back but thanks and yes we are going to take her off island to a rhemy i think i would have a peace of mind after we see a rhemy we just don\'t have those kinds of dr\'s here and its fustrating. but i know once we get it under control it will be easier and it is really hard to keep her out of the sun cuz here on guam is always summer. very hott!!!!
Hi Joydan...I\'m so glad you\'re going to take her to see a rheumy!! I will keep both of you in my prayers!! and yeah I can imagine trying to stay out of the sun...I lived in Florida for a few years and it was always sunny and hot...just keep a lot of sunscreen around!! Take care!!
