Down a little

Well I went down 1.5 lbs.  That is a good thing.  Going to keep tryng for 1.5 lbs per week.  This week also going to try to do my Bender Ball exercises every night, 5-10 minutes.  My glutes are getting better with all of the walks but tummy is still an issue.  So I am trying to focus on this a little more.  Doing the tummy exercises in Wii Fit Plus as well.  I think keeping my calories in the 1300 to 1400 range is working.  When I went back to Fitday a few weeks ago and re-evaluated my metabolism and what my typical day was, the baseline if you will, it caused a 200 calorie per day adjustment DOWN!  So I thought I was burning an extra 500-700 calories per day when I wasn't and could not understand why I was so stuck.  Hence, instead of the 1400-1600 calories per day I was eating, I lowered it and am now seeing some results.  Going for at least 3X to the Y this week.  Going to shoot for 4.  Got over 13k steps yesterday.  I ended up taking the dog for a 20 minute walk last night.  It was brutally cold but she was driving me crazy at 9:00 pm with all of the energy she had.  (The down side of having a 2 year old setter.)  But that is also a good thing as one of the best positives of having my little girl (beside the obvious companionship and wonderful doggie kisses) is that it forces me to get out for that walk even when I don't feel like it.  I also think I am going to try a new exercise class this week at the Y- Muscle Pump, on Saturday.  I will be going to the Y on Monday night for my Health Circle class.  The personal trainers are coming in with tips and to answer questions.   We are going to the movies today.  OMG!  Popcorn is a weakness of mine.  I will try to limit the quantity and have a diet sode.  We are going to see Avatar in 3D.  Will try to get in some extra exercise this evening (walk the dog, Wii Fit Plus, Gazelle).

Wow!! 2010 is a great year for you! You are really kicking the exercise into high gear and making health and fitness a priority. Love that puppy gets you out and walking too - that\'s totally great. And she keeps you safe at the same time :)
Have fun at the movies. A little popcorn is just fine. Make the necessary exercise and calorie count adjustments and you can feel good about it. I love popcorn too! Have a fun one!

LOVED the movie! It was the first movie I have seen worth the extra couple dollars to see in 3D! The colors and the picture were stunning! The storyline was great. Even Paul got choked up at the end! Now the movie is like 3 hrs. I did bad bad bad with the popcorn. Yep, ate it with butter and ate a lot. And also some M&Ms. All I ate today other than that was some high fiber oatmeal for breakfast and 1 cup of coffee. So going to eat healthy for dinner, get in some exercise and not step on that scale for a couple of days. Popcorn in and of itself is low calorie, but I had to have the butter. ugh! So I am off to get some exercise to minimize the after affects!

Bender ball was on tv, but now I see in regular stores. Relatively small inflated green ball that you put behind your lower back and do crunches. Or you lay down and put under your butt and do leg raises. Really great for abs! Comes with a dvd. I do about 10 minutes and I am sore. But something that I can do while watching tv.

My food last night was really bad. I was tired and lazy. Ate some beefaroni (the real stuff in a can) and some green beans.) Had some pretzels and some animal crackers. So calories and carbs yesterday were truly whacked! I am going to try to stay away from breads and pasta Monday to Friday this week to try to make up for it. Just for a few days. Gained a lb back due to 1 really bad day. I did do 50 minutes last night on my Gazelle and did get over 10k steps. I think that is 9 or 10 days in a row now. Have to download my pedometer. So that is a new record for me as far as 10k steps in a row. Focusing on getting to 143 this week!
