Done and done
I went in for the sleep study Tuesday night. The tech was very nice and attentive. She took a lot of time explaining what was going on and she even helped me get the hang of the remote to their TV. (service above and beyond). She then wired me up for the study. (When I say wired...I mean wired! I had electrodes in places I had long forgotten about.) It was very difficult for me to relax but I did sleep a bit on and off. She thought that the doc should have enough info to decide the next course of action..if any. She did say that there was a possibility that he may have me do another "sleep over" if the info is not sufficient or if he wants me fitted out for a cpap. (long sigh!!!) Oh well, in the words of the old Doris Day song,"what will be will be". I returned home and washed the adhesive "gunk" off of me and went back to bed. I got up at 11:00 am and then went to the dentist for some "fine tuning" of my bridge. It turned out that the fine tuning was more extensive than I thought and it took about an hour. I had thought that there would be no problem with keeping my dental appointment following the sleep study. I was wrong. The study and the dental work hit me much harder than I anticipated. By evening ,I felt pretty bad but still was going to take my wife out to dinner and a movie. (I'm a big time New Year's Eve reveler aren't I?) She took one look at me and ,even though I was dressed to go out, she said I looked bad (I thought I was hiding it well...Guess not) and we would stay home. My son went out and picked up our restaurant meals for us and brought them home. We then ate and watched some movies we had from Netflix. I feel bad that I wasn't able to take my wife out but she didn't appear to mind. She is such a help and deserves a good night out. Maybe this weekend. I should be up to it then. I return to the dentist in 2 weeks for the permanent bridge. I have nothing else scheduled so it shouldn't be too bad. That's all for now. I wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Tom

Happy New Year!
You\'re very lucky to have such an understanding wife :)
Yes, you really do. Such a blessing. As far as the sleep study, one down and if you are lucky, maybe none to go. I had two. Long sigh here too. LOL. Happy new year, dear friend.
