Donation

I got poked twice today. I donated platelets, and the new woman didn't know how to work the machine and pressed the wrong button. That made the machine shut down and I had to use the other arm. Then everything worked right. I watched an old favorite movie of mine (10 Things I Hate About You) while the machines did their thing. It made me happy. Then I watched some comedy (Dana Carvey) until I was done. I've only donated platelets 5 times and this was the first time I finished till the end. It's nice to know I helped people. Also, I get a $10 gift card (today was the last day for that), a blanket and free food. I can't complain! Oh yeah, if I get 2 more platelet donations by Dec 31st I get a $40 gift card. I've never sold my blood, always donated, but it's nice to get perks!
