Don't know how to deal with this divorce
I just recently divorced, after being married for 28 years. I'm hurt and don't know how to deal with this. He's been always fooling around and lying through out our marriage and I always knew in my heart that our relationship would end. But it is hard to just walk away. It hurts me that I was just thrown out like some old toy, and replaced so easily.
We have to talk every now and then to discuss legal matters on our loans we have, getting my things that is left at the house we got together. And every time we do we end up arguing.
When his new girl isn't around he would send me texts or call me like we are friends, but when she is around and I would call to let him know if it was ok to get some of my things or papers need to be sign he would either ignore my texts or calls and/or cut me off and say now is not the time and to stop being bitterĀ and is as cold. I rarely do call or communicate unless it has something to do with our divorce settlement because it hurts so bad. We met on one occasion at a bar to get some paper work done and to discuss what we needed to get done, and all he talked about was him and his new love.
I guess I can't handle the fact that I've done nothing but try to make this transition easy for him and thought he'd have more respect for me, being that we did spend 28 years being married. I expected more out of him.
How do I move on? How do I make it stop hurting? How do I get over him?
