don't judge me by who i used to be, i don't live there anymore

"Don't judge me by who i used to be;
I don't live there anymore."  L. Kelly

“A name does not change who you are;
I am who I am, and who I will be.”
" ... learning the truth, Samantha remains steadfast about  not being damaged in any way by her mother’s actions, and she says she won’t go back to using her old name."
(the girl that was kidnapped 20 years ago, as a ten month old by her "insane" mother and brought to live in 3 other countries as a way to protect herself and her child.  Samantha claims her mother is not what the "corrupt" court said.)

boring day mostly.  its raining AGAIN.  hung out at v's with a different set of cats for him (the ones i told him to adopt ORIGINALLY) two brothers who are already declawed.  i figured it would be a good match because he has two grown sons, one of whom is away at college and the other lives with his second ex-wife.  only to discover he also has a grown daughter from his first marriage and 7 grandchildren who are very dark (all of his kids are blonde, so its odd) and she's not married.  i didn't even want to ask if she works in the casinos in nevada where she lives, because another gambler thing i'm not up to hearing about right now.  v's house is very nice, brand new and huge, 5000 square feet total (one of our rescue people lives in the same development but her house is normal (2500 square feet) similar to everyone else.   but driving down the road to his area, there are some humungous houses in there.  the bigger the house, the bigger the headache.  he says he can't wait to sell, he doesn't need the space anymore because the kids are grown and gone.   he used to be on american bandstand as a weekly dancer.  he is also getting ready to sell and retire to hawaii where he lived while in the marines.   he claims the animals will go with him - i hope he is telling the truth and will also buy the animals a SEAT.  they won't fit under the seat.  the norwegian cats are HUGE.
i said to him, we live really shabby compared to his house.  we really do.  everything at v's house is NEW.  i went to k's for dinner after v's the other night, and you notice the difference from an older house to a brand new house and my house is one step DOWN from k's in a historical area.  seriously.  i said to k, v's SUNROOM is 1500 square feet and k got pissed.  k's sunroom/den is 40 x 15 which is large to begin with.  v's sunroom takes up his entire yard and  there is a view of the pond with a fountain in the pond behind the sunroom (nice view).    ponds with fountains are manmade and common in florida (you get flooding without them, so they also double as retention ponds, plus they look nice).  i was cracking up from k's reaction.  then i go back to my house and our sunporch is about HALF the size of k's, so even smaller.  lol.
i told this to v.  he's like 40 x 15 isn't shabby, plus he used to live up the road from where i live now (in a different 5000 square foot house - another two story one, which is what we have (two story homes aren't common in florida, but we don't get a lot of hurricane in this area, just tropical storms in late summer usually).  v said the taxes were outrageous at the house up the road from us because our area is within a few blocks of the ocean.  probably true.  our former house in teaneck, which is worth a mint nowadays - the taxes on it are $15,000.  UNREAL.  glad i don't live near large cities anymore.  around here, taxes are only outrageous right ON the ocean.
still car shopping (boring).  and still have another doctor to see.  had healthy food at k's, salmon with wine and veggies, all of which were great and peach smoothies made with gin.  yum.
went to dinner with j, just boston market to try their new parm-chicken (i ended up with meatloaf instead).  they have a thing there that if you eat during the week, you get a coupon for a buy one get one free that coming saturday.  dollar general has the same kind of thing, but with a $5 off coupon but only good on that one day.  also picked up their chicken salad (boston market makes THE BEST chicken salad, but its way over-priced.    the only other chicken salad that is almost as good is from sam's club, but i rarely go there).  i'm paranoid when i eat out nowadays because of the gmo's and processed food.  so in addition to the paranoia from watching 20/20 what really goes on inside kitchens at restaurants, have to be wary of the FOOD itself.  omg!  the zuccini casserole at boston market is also the top.  even though i'm sure alllll of their food is processed and probably gmo or gmo fed as well.
finally picked up bins to use to pack sheets etc., that aren't being used, so hopefully the closets will finally get organized again.   also started taking the vitamin turmeric on my days off from work, i DO feel better just from taking it.   turmeric ups immunity and all kinds of other things.  lysine is also supposed to do that, we buy lysine for animals, haven't tried that yet.

What kind of car are you looking for? Do you have it narrowed down to make/model, or are you just looking at what used cars are available in your area?

I tried taking turmeric, but my gut didn\'t like it. I didn\'t notice much of an improvement in the rest of me, either, though a friend of mine now swears by it. We\'re all different, I guess! Hope you have a good weekend! *HUGS*

they claim it takes NINE MONTHS on regular use, to really see a difference in taking vitamins. i took turmeric and i noticed a difference right away, same when i take potassium or Q10. which i guess means i need the turmeric?
