Don't bite your mother.....
I know, it's an odd title, but I found myself saying this to Norman this morning. I had just woken up, and he was nosing around the bed, sniffing around and licking my hand, the he decided to take a little nip. He does this a lot, not hard biting, but I guess he thinks I taste good or somthing, I don't know. Anyway, when I said this to him, it struck me as hilariously funny, and I got out of bed laughing. Apparently he doesn't think it's as funny as I do, he kinda huffed off to the living room and is now sulking on the couch. Yesterday was a good day, I got some of my Christmas shopping done before work yesterday morning. I got my youngest nephew a little electronic keyboard (sissy's gonna LOVE me, lol) and a little pretend shaving kit. He always does what he sees his big brother doing, so I thought that when he sees John shaving, now he can shave too. I also got them both 2009 Christmas bears, this is something I've done every year since John was born in 1992. Everybody tries to tell me that John is too old to be getting a stuffed animal for Christmas, but I don't listen. The bears are my own little tradition, and they will both get one until the day I die. And when John gets married, if I like his wife, she'll get one too. If I don't like her, she'll get a box of chocolate covered cherries. Could there be anything more disgusting that chocolate covered cherries? Methinks NOT. I am so excited, I have an appointment Monday with a new neurologist. This one is in my own town, so no more 45 minute drives in heavy traffic to see the doctor. I don't have any problems with the old doc, just the drive was really starting to bother me, and I feel the need to make things as simple as possible these days. Also, I think I had been with the old one for so long (16 years) that he had become sort of "immune" to my problems, and didn't really listen to me as well as I thought he ought to. I asked what records I should have transferred to the new doc, and they said all he would want right now would be the MRI reports, so those have been faxed. I kinda like the idea of a fresh start, where the new doc can draw his own conclusions and will base what he knows about me on what he sees for himself and what I tell him. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
