Dominoes

Remember when someone parked in my spot?  I was just glad to get inside and hours later the car was out of my spot.  The thing was, I was already comfy and not really dressed to go out. Since I was also kind of achey, I decided to wait til the next day.  I look outside in the morning and see another neighbor;s truck backed into my spot, but not all the way.  He must have just forgot something and ran back in because his car was still running and then he was off.   So I was going to go out a bit later 

I hear my doorbell ring and go to door. My neighbors across the way who had a peephole would look out and see if there was someone trying to solicit something. I asked who it was and no answer. After a brief pause, I peek out and see another neighbor and her little one coming back. She was just checking because she hadn't seen me around and the car wasn't there.  I thanked her and thought it was so sweet and kind that someone actually gave a damn.

A bit later I load my trashbags into my buggy and go over and grab a couple of envelopes I had to mail still in my car and head across the lot. I dump my trash. and go around the corner to go up the sidewalk to the mailbox. As I go up the ramp Ido believe the cart went a bit faster than I did and before I could stop, I FELL onto the sidewalk. I broke my fall with left hand and knee and landed very ungracefully on my ass. A car pulled in to park and she came to help me get back up. Next thing I know another guy passes by and parks by the corner and offers to help.  (Turns out he also live further back and is with the fire police)  They very kindly helped me get up. I thought of getting checked out, by was in no mood to wait for hours in  the ER and nothing felt broken. 

I've spent a few days being very sore, but just minor things now to remind me of my clutziness (and unfaithful buggy to NOT rely on. lol)

I just thought it was nice to know kindness still does exist (and that do unto others does come back full circle.) Big smile here
