Doing ok
Got to the Y this AM in spite of the cold temps and bitter wind. It was not easy getting up this morning. Yesterday was Day 3 in a row, binge free. Did 1 hr of Wii WIO yesterday. Ate 1445 calories, burned 1971 calories. Today, I did 37 mins on treadmill, 3.6 mph walking with (4) intervals of jogging for 2 1/2 mins each at 4.7 mph. did 2.32 miles. (I am huffing and puffing after 2 1/2 mins of jogging, so need to build myself up.)
Weight this AM was 155 lbs, so I am back on my way down and feeling good about that. Sun is out this AM (although it is bitter cold) but that at least helps me feel better.
Work is still chaotic but I am trying to "ignore" the stress so to speak and just focus on one thing at a time and pray for a break and try not to "care" about being behind. I get myself too upset and then become unproductive.
I think this weekend I will work out that priority list/to do list just so I can refocus and get myself unstuck. I need to schedule time in my day/week for "me" things, like reading my book. When I smoked, I used to go out to the sunroom 15+ times per day to smoke a cigarette and while there would read. I haven't read a lot since I stopped smoking. So I need to kind of schedule that in as I miss it. And I miss sitting in the sunroom. (waiting for a nice warm day to clean the sunroom first!)
Anyway, still praying for Spring and warmth. Trying to take it one day at a time. David is ok although I came home from the Y this AM and there is trash all over my deck. Apparently David was told to take the trash out before school and bag ripped and he got mad and took off to school bus without picking it up. Paul was going to clean it up saying "I can't possibly leave that out there like that all day." I said "yes you can. he can clean it up when he comes home at 3:15pm." No yelling. I am just going to say, can you clean up the mess please? He has gotten his homework done every day for 2 weeks now. Praying that continues as well.

How cold is it there? I always feel like I chose to live in the Canadian Prairies, so we have all the layers of snowsuits and neckwarmers and we have the snowplows and crews galore, so we are prepared.....we expect the cold and are braced and ready for it. So we can\'t complain. We chose to live in a climate where temperatures drop to -40. But I felt so bad for everyone living in areas in the US where that blizzard and all this snow and cold are such a shock!!! Wish I could send some extra mittens down.
Did David just not have time to clean up that garbage as the bus was there? That is a frustrating thing, having the bag rip!! I like the no yelling plan.
GREAT work getting all the exercise and healthy eating in your day!! Awesome way to blow off stress and keep yourself steady. Good job!
It is like high of 20 here today with windchill in single digits. But Sunday, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? It is going up to 50 DEGREES! Woo Hoo! Can\'t wait for the snow to melt! We are used to cold here too compared to people in South. Just tired of being cooped up, high heating bills (and still being cold!) 39 more days until Spring!
I don\'t think David broke the bag on purpose, but he gets in his foul moods and doesn\'t handle it properly and the handle broke (it was not overly full.) Paul said he had plenty of time to pick up the garbage before the bus. But I don\'t feel like Paul should be telling David to do chores first thing in the morning. David is a bear in the morning and too much of a tinderbox waiting to go off. Paul wants to take the Ipod away for a week. I think he is overboard. The ipod is what started it as David wanted to take the Ipod to school and we say no. Especially not until he gets his grades up. Too much of a distraction. So this was the argument of the morning, David stomps out with the trash, the bag breaks and David stomps off. so he is just going to have to clean it up.
Hope things cool down with David.. Taking Ipod to school isn\'t a good idea... school could take it away.
You are right stay calm and do what you can.
Mornings are a bad time for David not a good time to reprimand. After school may be better..
Can\'t wait for the 50 degree weather yeah...
(((HUGS)))))
Minus 6 degrees here this morning and high of 14 with wind! UGH!
I hope your day goes smoothly, No new claims, you get some reading into the day, David picks up the trash and gets school work done! Is this too much to wish for????
As for Ipod and such at school...I can\'t see how schools allow them.
So sorry to hear about all your weather coldness. Hope it ends soon and spring gets here fast.
Hope all works out with David.
I agree that the schools shouldn\'t allow Ipods. I know we have enough of a problem with them and cellphones at work.
Sorry I\'ve been MIA, I finally caught up on your journals. Hope all is well. Sorry about the fires and then the water one, that\'s tough, can\'t imagine your job at all other than you guys take on way 2 much and people need to understand that you can only do so much and you really care. Hope David is doing better and hope he gets the help he needs. You are so positive and always doing your best to keep things together. You are such an inspiration and your drive is amazing. Way to go on your binge free days and those amazing workouts, you\'ve got me beat :-). Glad Paul is doing better and helping you out. Your kitchen is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pics, love em all. That Kona is so beautiful, such a pretty girl. I can\'t imagine life w/o my dogs/babies..... Have a great weekend and glad you had company over for the game and David help clean up before hand. Life will get better!!! Hang in there and hope your feeling well and have a Happy Valentine\'s Day.
