doing well at this time
today my D is having 2 bloods only,not needing platelets today his last blood r esults showed improved platelet levels, and his energy levels have improved on the 14th his hb was 97 wcc 2.2 platelets were 22,the highest they have been since last december.He is starting 2nd cycle of vidasa 27th april, next Wednesday, things hopefully are improving for now.

Please keep us up on things -- do they plan on doing a bone marrow biopsy at any point? Usually they will do it after the first induction cycle, which apparrently D has now completed. I am praying for you and D -- take care -- dave
Thankyou for your good wishes Dave. Domenic has had 4 bmb but the results did not show enough for the dr to examine where exactly he is with his condition, today he is having 2 platelets and 2 bloods,hoping that will tide him over the Easter break when the unit closes down. His next cycle begins on Wednesday next.
Have been having many ups and downs since my last post, Still on vidasa,exjade, and cyklokapron and also prednisolone.Domenic is staying strong and we are still hoping to continue with the Vidasa treatment. He is having 2 units of blood weekly and 1 platlets aprox. a month.His bloods today before his transfusion today were hg 81 and plts 18. which is not too bad for him.Lately he has been complaining more about his strong headaches,Drs.are mystified as to their cause. Next week is starting next 7 day cycle of Vidasa.
