Doing so well!

So a lot is going well in my life these days. I am getting a substantial raise at work in January that is going to relieve a lot of my financial stress. That's been one of the things that has made it difficult for me over the last several years so it's going to be really good to have that weight off of my shoulders. I'm really enjoying my job now too. It's been just over a year and I feel like I have learned a lot and grown a lot as a person as well. It feels really good after so many years of struggling to have a positive career path, good financial footing and stability. I've got a really great group of friends that I have met over the last couple of years. Some I've been friends with for 4-5 years, others, including my best friend, just over a year or so. I'm just so comfortable in life and really feeling like I am coming into my own. I've worked hard, I've overcome struggles, and I feel like I'm making it. It feels damn good!
I also recently met a guy I like. 
We met a few weeks ago. I went out to a pub to meet my best friend for a few beers and his brother's band was there and a couple of their friends. I went there looking like crap - it's not the kind of pub where you give a crap what you look like - no make up, hair not done.. just jeans and a t-shirt. Well one of the friends was really cute and we ended up talking and such. I've been crazy busy with work lately so we've been trying to find a time to hang out.. finally did last night after I finished my evening meetings and it was awesome. We have so much in common, yet we have totally different backgrounds and histories, so it's really cool. I feel like this could go somewhere, and I'm pretty stoked about it. He is a really nice guy and I feel very comfortable around him.
