Doing Dishes

My husband told me tonight that he feels bad that I don't say thank you when he does the dishes. 

Hello! It's a marriage. Isn't it expected? Is it really important that I thank him? I did not realize I was supposed to show appreciation for these small things! I'm shocked. I've never once needed his approval when I've done laundry or cleaned the toilet. 

Again I feel angry that he's put this on Me!
