Walk straight to your room after you watch the sun set behind mountains and wake up to the sun shining on the lake. I recommend two options for staying in Olympic National Park. The first is staying two nights in Port Angeles or Lake Crescent and two nights in Forks. The second is staying in different accommodations almost every night. Then we went to restaurants at or near our hotel for dinner.
The best time to visit Olympic National Park is in summer, when the weather is warm and the chance of heavy rainfall is slim. This is also the busiest time, so if you're planning to reserve a campsite, make sure to do it well in advance. To beat the crowds, late spring and early fall are good alternatives; just come prepared for rainfall and cold weather. Explore glaciers, hot springs, and rainforest in the jewel of Western Washington. Our Sol Duc cabin rentals are surrounded by towering evergreens along the Sol Duc River in a picturesque valley.

Ask each lodging property about their pet policy before you book. Our eco-friendly wash provides a safe and serene grooming environment. Enjoy premium shampoo, conditioner, and a turbo dryer. It depends on the dog’s breed, lifestyle and hair length. Typically, short hair dogs should be washed every month and long hair dogs every 2-3 weeks.
Fish flavoured eggplant soup was my favourite, works well with all the other dishes. They have a vast variety of options and the price’s decent. We had a few special request for meal and sauce and was delivered with great service. The prices were pretty fair too given the location.

During 2015 and into early 2106 the trestle was replaced and the bridge deck updated with steel and concrete. To the west, the Spruce Railroad Trail upgrade began with the first ½ mile at the Lyre River end. Spruce Railroad Trail work continued, including the opening of the McFee tunnel on the trail’s east end. Clallam County will receive $3.75 million to support the planning and design of seven trail projects aimed at completing the Olympic Discovery Trail. The history of the ODT project truly begins with the construction of the first railroad grades in Clallam County. The Port Townsend and Southern lines were built in 1887.
Outside of these months, the weather can get pretty rainy, especially during the winter and spring in Washington. Nonetheless, as a Pacific Northwest-enthusiast, I’d argue that the Olympic Peninsula exudes even more of its mysterious beauty during the rainy season. Plus, due to its proximity to the Pacific coastline, the weather on the peninsula rarely gets bitter cold (plus, you’re more likely to get all of the magical forests to yourself). There isn’t public transit to take around the Olympic Peninsula, so you’ll need a car to get around . Planning to visit Olympic National Park can be difficult when you consider just how much ground there is to see in this beautiful corner of Washington state. If you follow these tips, however, you will be sure to have an unforgettable 2-3 days in this beautiful park.

I tried for the first time this restaurant, meal was delicious. I recommend it to anyone who has problems eating very spicy Indian food as the meal was tasty but not overpowered with spicies. Very friendly and the food is always super delicious! Great value, always plenty left over for the next day.
If you're anywhere remotely close on a bike, this IS the place to go. The forested slopes of Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across Lake Quinault. Towering conifers including Sitka spruce, Douglas-fir, western hemlock and western red cedar provide dense shade for this beautiful setting.
A lovely lodge with a landscaped garden with a waterfall, plus an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness center. If you’re wondering where to stay near Hurricane Ridge, well, your only options other than back country camping are back down the mountain. There are plenty of places to stay near Hurricane Ridge in and around Port Angeles. Otherwise, to find the best views, you’ll need to hit the trails.

She tells me shes sorry i had a bad experience and just looks at me waiting for me to leave. If you appreciate good customer service, dont go here. The staff here are always super friendly and the service is always very quick.
At Cape Alava, the rocky shoreline gives way to a sandy spit of land which connects to Tskawahyah Island – the westernmost point in the contiguous United States. After you have enough pictures of the tree, you’ll have no trouble spreading out from others and finding your own piece of sand to spend the day. Kalaloch Beach is a wonderful beach to watch incredible sunsets.
