I have found a great use for all my former entries to my journal. It seems as if all those entries could be helpful in appealing my disability claim with SSA. At least it prods my memory on doctor's appointments, medications and how I felt on given days. Since I have to fill out a form for my attorney updating my medical history from Nov 2007 anyway , it's good that I now know where to look for most of the info. All that blather that I have been writing here may actually be useful....who knew? My appeal hearing is nowhere on the radar so I may just qualify for regular early social security before the hearing is even on their docket. I am 60 after all. Perhaps that's what they are counting on...cunning rascals. In keeping with the new function of my journal, I'll just say that I am tired, sore and coughing a lot due to this summer cold or whatever. Just no stamina at all. I hope you all are doing great. And remember...keep your records up to date. Ya never know... Be well,Tom

YES. When I was appealing my short term disability, this is exactly what I did. I referred back to the date of denial and saw my status then. This journalling is more than what it seems. I recommend this to anyone with a chronic condition! Not only for appeals, but simple tracking of our symptoms.

It is so hard to battle the stamina issue. Coughing really uses up our energy. Please rest and move if you can. Too much sitting and lying is a real energy depleter. Take care.
