doctor appt & "healer" - hemoglobin is low//dinner at k's//saw rn for early bird//office guy's raise

hemoglobin is low again, which is bad.   that is why i'm exhausted.  had a really good day at the doctor(s).  my cholesterol went DOWN from taking red rice yeast vitamin (its a natural statin) you still need to take 200 mg of coq10 with it, especially if you are over 45 years of age, but it works!  and none of the crazy side effects that the human-made statins have.  my new doctor was there today, she has been ill, so her first month back.  her husband is also a doctor and her daughter is in her last year of medical school.  wow!  she is sending my blood work to her daughter because she thinks there is a test or something that can be done to figure out what is going on with my low hemoglobin (and low iron).  she wants me to go back on iron pills and to buy liver and the 3 bean salad and something else that the pharmacist should have.  (I was going to buy the 3 bean stuff anyway.  yum.)  I have trouble eating meat of any sort - I've been a vegetarian on and off since 7th grade.  i keep picturing the cow.  the pig.  the lamb.  the calf.  the chicken.   it grosses me out.  its disgusting that humans eat living things.  i'm starting to not like being human.  seriously.  what a hideous species.
my new doctor sent me to a "healer".    she had mentioned this before.  the healer is also a massage therapist, but she is religious so its different.  she annoints you and prays over you and does the massage therapy thing as well.    it worked really well.  you FEEL healed from it.  was very surprised.
went to the sale at the town shops.  since I gained so much weight I don't think my suit jackets fit, also my shoes aren't okay.   I can't wear high heels anymore and the lower ones i'd wear for closings are ruined for some reason.  one shoe is fine and the other isn't.  haven't figured that out yet.  i need lower heels anyway.  so different.  when I was young I wore 3 or 3 1/2 inch heels all the time, even five years ago I did - at least on holidays or for closings at work.  not a chance of that now.  how much of that is from weight gain and how much from old age, can't tell?   glad I live where everything is casual.  must be annoying to be old where it is flashy and people expect you to wear younger clothes and shoes at every age.

was at rn's briefly to drop off her coupons and brought over eggplant parm with spaghetti, her favorite.  we split it.  then went to the doctor(s) and then to dinner at k's.  the inner office of the doctor has a prayer room, like they do at the hospital over here - love religious hospitals.  prettier and quieter.  the prayer room looks just like my grandfather's office, except I can't remember if it was his office at his house or his office at his church.  lol.  also, I bet his office was smaller as when you are little everything seems bigger.  I get a de ja vu every time I go in there.  lol.  cracks me up.  but it feels good though, all good vibes.  I couldn't figure it out at first, and then I was like, omg!   haven't been in here since I was a kid.
had dinner at k's.  we had salmon.  yum.  made with bourbon and white wine.  boiled cabbage made with beer in celebration of st. patty's even though none of us are irish.  pepperidge farm lemon layered caked, which I love.  the mixed drinks he's been making recently, which are really good.  corn, potatoes and salad.  have to remember to bring over sour cream and then remember to use it.  there was also brownies and black coffee.  soaked my back and need to bring in the bath salts, makes a huge difference and I keep forgetting.  he says he got back his lawn mower from c.  wow!  isn't that nice, so why'd c take it?  and where was it for six weeks?  seriously.  no idea what will happen with that.   pbs did a special on viet nam, but only saw pieces of it.  fell asleep around 12 a.m.  I think and then up again after that, but now I know why i'm falling asleep accidentally - its the low iron.
office is being a prick about the guys' raises, so the other office is saying, they owe two bucks an hour to the guys after a ten year rate/pay freeze, figuring 2% cost of living, if they won't pay it, why be loyal to them if they aren't loyal to your people.  true and true.  i'm stunned.  3 weeks ago our office sounded like he would put it through and today he is an asshole about it.  he should know better AND no one should have to petition for a raise, it should just happen automatically.  wth?  talked to jd about the raise etc., again today.  d didn't even tell him about the tentative meeting.  wth?  b called to remind this is a holiday week.  I actually forgot and it seems to run differently every year, like if they "feel like" being closed they are and then they are like, hope you did payroll early.  hmmm, i'm supposed to read your mind?   hope they are kidding.  ran this passed jd and he was like, they can shove it.  tired of them changing thing at the last minute.  I don't even want to know what that is about.
engine light soon came on again, and like last time went off after my mechanic put a computer on it.  the computer says:   idling high, which he says is nothing.  i think it needs a tune up and rather just do it.  so we will see what he comes up with, he says it doesn't need a tune up and he has no idea why its doing that until he takes a better look.  they are super busy over there.  he is lucky they do so well there when so many places keep closing down or aren't doing well at all.  its still like that here.

I haven\'t eaten meat for 42 yrs and I\'m never anemic. I don\'t like animal slaughter. You don\'t need to eat liver. There are many ways to bring your iron levels up. I haven\'t seen a prayer room here in a doctor\'s clinic or at the hospitals.Sounds like a nice idea. The bosses sound a bit stingy with the wages.I know your rates are very low over your way in many positions . Your cost of living is cheaper though than here.Hope your car works out ok.Bye for now.Wishing you well.hugs.
