DOCTOR APPOINTMENT - cerulean cataracts beginnings//harrassment at work from russian guy//still sick
"Cerulean cataracts are opaque areas that develop in the lens of the eye that often have a bluish or whitish color. They may be present at birth or develop in very early childhood, but may not be diagnosed until adulthood. They are usually bilateral and progressive. Infants can be asymptomatic, but may also be visually impaired from birth and develop nystagmus and amblyopia.
In adulthood, the cataracts may progress, making lens removal necessary. Cerulean cataracts may be caused by mutations in several genes, including the CRYBB2, CRYGD, and MAF genes, and are inherited in an autosomal dominant manner. No treatment is known to prevent cerulean cataracts, but frequent evaluations and cataract surgery are typically required to prevent amblyopia as the opacities progress."
i'm still sick. i ate all this soft food, but it is lying in my stomach like lead. grrrr. went to the eye doctor. i like this eye doctor. he numbs the eye to look in instead of using those awful drops that make it so you can't drive. however, he is the first eye doctor to say i have cerulean cataracts just starting -- instead of saying its those scandinavia ones. i don't remember the name. this guy said the same thing all the other doctors say, its very rare and interesting because its a different COLOR than ordinary ones and a person is born with them. but he called it something different. i hope he is right? the eye doctors always get very excited about my kind of cataracts because only 3% of the people in usa have them (compared to 50% of the population in scandinavia (we are part danish).
i'm still sick. i'm not sniffling, but i'm nauceous, so i guess its a bug. grrrr. i am managing soft foods like cheese, salad and cheesecake (it was on sale at target) but having trouble with foods like pasta or coffee. so i'm still grumpy and bored. still reading barbara walters memoir. i'm at the point where she just finished sarah lawrence college and is working for a television station - her typing and steno got her the job and she says the tv stations were very small, national stations at night and small local ones during the day - she used her father's name, lou walters productions, to get the job. i didn't even know tv stations were set up that way in the 50's. she is still upset about her sister being retarded both guilt and i think anger...
the drama at work. of course always drama, its the russian guy of all people. his wife interprets for him if its anything complicated. she was going on about how nice i am and do i have a position for her. (she isn't a broker, but she wants to work local instead of commuting 30 minutes away. she also let me know that she and her husband stopped by my house down south and by our timeshare. wtf? i don't even give out addresses and definitely NOT to my timeshare. wth? so they are STALKING ME?! following me around? the house down south is 40 minutes from our office. so my neighbor said he will call the police if he sees them snooping around. verrrrry creepy. its STALKING!).
well, check this out, she thought she could get MY JOB! she didn't want "a" job, she wanted MY job. what a bitch! she doesn't have a broker license, and no experience in the field, but she thinks she should be the supervisor around here. no experience at all and then bam - supervisor. hmmm? so she is being all nice over the phone and in person, but really just trying to stab me in the back - i don't know her at all, so she is swooping in out of nowhere.
she went over my head and applied in person (you can only apply on line) and our main office people in orlando figured out what she was doing and jerked her around back at her. they had her DRIVE to orlando - about two hours from here and then they tell her, no we aren't hiring, why would you think we would hire you. they actually did this. over the phone she claims they said they would consider hiring her. really? for what job? she isn't a broker.
she even had the audacity to want to look around in our office up here, she was that certain that she would get the job. wtf? i gave her husband a break coming in here without being at all fluent in english, and then she pulls this.
so then she says that the old man who always makes trouble in our office, invited her and her husband (the russian guy) over to his house and the old man and her husband want to rearrange things here and have plans. she TELLS me this and that maybe i should look for something else. REALLY? I SHOULD? her husband isn't even here a year.
so then she applies to the office park where our branch office is. the office park supervisor figures out what she is doing. they have the same rule, on line only to apply and AGAIN she goes against the rules and drives through to areas of "personnel" only to do it her way - in person, pissing everyone off. THEY find out what she is doing, and first, one of the girls that i know who is a supervisor in an office here in the office park, decides she will waste the woman's time on purpose as well, because she says the russian woman was slandering me - she and her husband! she gives her an interview and then a few others over here find out what the russian woman is doing and saying and offer to do interviews with her as well. the russian woman had to take a week off of work from the dental office where she works, because they kept having her come in for interviews. (the truth is she isn't qualified to do anything around here, she isn't quite fluent in english. she isn't a broker. she works for a dentist, so its that much more dumb to attempt any of the jobs here which are all office positions. they were jerking her around, right back at her, kind of a thing. who the hell does she think she is? and she was serious).
i think the office park didn't like the underhandedness and backstabbing of what she and her husband were doing - it says a lot to even start out like that. generally, people are on their best behavior for the entire first year they are at a new job and follow every rule, do everything perfectly and then slack off a bit thereafter. not this one ... in the end one of the office people, 3 of our maintenance people, one of our grounds people, one of the shipping people our complex computer tech and the woman i feed animals for and her assistant, NINE supervisors, all used up the russian woman's time interviewing and none of the interviews were real, it was just to make it so she would need to take off from her job). i couldn't believe they did that, though i really appreciate the loyalty. i've been here a lot of years and i'm pretty easygoing as a boss - which is probably why the russian man and his wife are attacking, oh she is a nice person so lets bully her? not so fast. i couldn't figure out why people were asking about the russian all of a sudden and then i discover this. lol.
i'm stunned though, that the russian would act like that when i didn't have to hire him at all. he can't even speak fluent english and anything that needs to be done that is complicated words, he has to bring it home and do it through his wife. he can BARELY do the job he does and he thinks what, they are going to take over? this is a big company, it doesn't work that way. my boss says to me, if they do anything in writing, its easy, i can sue them for libel, in addition to firing them, but wth?
he says that the guys from maintenance started showing up when i wasn't here, questioning the russian guy and then the other guys from the office as well, just applying bits of pressure at him. the russian woman is such a fool, she keeps coming in and taking off from her paying job. she had to take a vacation week to do this and for what? so she never got the job, of course, and the local supervisors sat around laughing at what they were doing and who would join them in this folly - they didn't ASK anyone to, they just mentioned what was going on and everyone was like, oh, i can do that, tell them to interview over here next. lol. the russian couple brought it on themselves - total backstabbers. never a dull moment. and in LESS THAN A YEAR on the job and he acts like that? wow!

That\'s pretty gutsy! I don\'t understand people like that. Glad to hear your bosses and coworkers have your back that way. Maybe she\'ll get the message and go somewhere else! *HUGS*
Wow... talk about the drama llama! She\'s got a pair all right... What are you going to do with her husband stalking you? If he knows where you live, then she does too. And if you fire him, she will retaliate even more, even though you have just cause because of the language barrier. They are just nuts!
Ppl like this really DO walk among us eh?
What an education ........... in street smarts, at least ;-).
Very interesting about those cataracts!! Seriously! Never heard of them before!!!! They\'re a different color! WOW, you\'d think they\'d spot them sooner, especially in younger people. I\'m in the medical field a long time and never heard of these!! Are you going to have to have surgery?
Sorry you are still feeling nauseous and crappy! Better days ahead. Stay away from the daggone cheesecake! Jeepers, you\'re just like me! LOL...
This woman is a whacko! Hubby too! Kinda scary in this day and age to have to deal with stalkers and crazy people, but they\'re kinda had to avoid, You handled everything perfectly well, and your associates all know she\'s crazy.....so it\'s a done deal NO JOB FOR HER!
Man, where can ya go to meet normal people these days????
he stalks with her, i know that from both my neighbor and from the timeshare...it never occurred to me that he may also be stalking on his own. but WHY? unless he is a predator for real. there are those kinds all over the place. nothing anyone can do about it. my neighbor said, to look at watchdog...it tells you who in your area are criminals. the french claim allll people are criminals - its just a matter of who can afford a pricey lawyer. that is bad too. wonder why they left russia? maybe they are a PAIR of criminals. i\'m stunned though.
have no idea how to thank the ones that backed me up. also heard two others (not supervisors) also did the same thing. how do you thank so many people for something like that. its beautiful.
the supervisor at the office complex totally blames the old man for all of it, because he is always starting crap, even before i was supervisor at this branch....maybe, but the russian guy is easily around 50, i think, he\'s way too old to just do something like this. i remember thinking when i hired him, that i didn\'t like the way his wife acted on the phone. they had called for several months before he got an interview. she kind of \"begs\" you to hire her husband and says how \"good\" he is, when he is the furthest thing from good, obviously. grrrrr
the cataracts are just starting, the doctor said i won\'t have them until i\'m 68, just like everyone else....however, if its the scandinavian type, they happen suddenly and apply pressure like a glaucoma does. the whole thing is freaky. right now, i\'m okay i guess. yay! except for my stomach being like lead, but getting there.
thanks for the support. i also found out that tm also got into it, when he found out and so did his girlfriend, they wanted to \"interview\" her too, and then trish the signmaker over here. they are all just jerking the woman around, wasting her \"paid\" time from her job. tm said he almost foiled the whole thing by accident, saying something he shouldn\'t. and then he said, if we switched companies here, not to take the russian guy with us, as i had mentioned that to him. wonder when they all intended to tell me. after it cooled i guess? its soooo weird. i hate drama and its always unexpected. \"in life you choose your WARS, but you never choose your battles, battles just sprout up unexpectedly all over the place.\"
PSEUDOEXFOLIATION syndrome demonstrating the three identifiable zones on the anterior lens capsule. Note in the second picture (taken from a different patient) the white flaky material deposits on the pupillary margin.
This is what the doctors always say i have. this one didn\'t say it. hope he is correct! They call it \"pseudo\" because it appears like the lense is pealing but its not, its just the way this cataract looks and it is similar to glaucoma as well. have to find the print out on it. whatever.
