doctor

Blood test tomorrow morning sometime before noon (can go in when I can get there).  I had asked if I could come in before appointment to give blood so test would be back for appointment, but didn't get the call.

Nice lady doctor.  Very thorough.  Patient.  Small office.

Problem.  According to the medical assistant's measurements I shrank one and a half inches and gained about 15 pounds.  Maybe because she was shorter than me she didn't raise the bar as far as I am tall?  As for the weight?  Jeepers creepers.  I was expecting 10, but heaven help me.  I looked in the mirror on my way out and said, "Hello, stranger."

Step one:  go to doctor.  CHECK.

carry on.

I think she didn\'t raise the bar high enough.

I hope you\'ll be able to get some results that reveal something.

My opinion, and that of people who know more that I do about our medical care system...it has a bad case of testitis. Tests make money for the doctors and labs, but they don\'t ...repeat...don\'t...improve care.

Hey, I shrunk too! according to the Duke doctors office but actually the doctor said that may not be accurate! But we do shrink as we get older...soon my mom will be the size of a toddler! LOL JK!

When I got married 25 years ago I was almost 5\'8\".

I\'m now 5\'5-1/2\".

Yes, you can shrink, and suddenly. Most of it is in the upper spine. Comes with peri/post menopause. And time to start watching for osteoporosis.

I gained 30 lbs in my peri slam. Almost overnight.

It\'s wretched...
