doc visit

I went to a new doc today. He has adjusted most of my meds and put me on Cymbalta for the anxiety and depression. He asked me what worked and what didn't. I am very hopeful that he will be able to help me through this mind and body of mine. My diabetes is way out of control and he diagnosed me with having COPD and with fibromyalgia and I have osteoarthitis{degenerative joint disease}. and I dont have migraines, I have tension headaches. He said that if I dont stop smoking then I'll stop breathing. So, I guess I have to fight to live. Yes, I am going to fight and I will repair what I can and hope the meds will do their job. So, I have 4 packs of cigarettes and I hope I have the strength and courage to quit for good this time. Please keep me in your prayers and lets hope that I'll stay in this mind frame and that I have the willpower to accomplish this. My body is failing me and I hope my mind will be strong enough to do what I have to do. I am still taking my meds as prescribed.

Hi. I hope Cymbalta will be helpful for you. I began it about two months ago. At first some of the side effects seemed extreme and I wanted to stop taking it. But they went away after about 10 days and then I could really feel the medication working for me. I hope you can get your Diabetes under control as well as your other physical health concerns. Did your doctor give you any advice or offer suggestions on stop-smoking techniques? I will keep you in my prayers. Love from Chloe XOXO

No, but I\'m gonna try to just stop. I do still have most of my meds for chantix left. and if they dont work for me then I\'ll ask him about something different. Thank you.

Sounds like your new doc is a good one - he asks you questions and listens to the answers, if I\'m reading your entry right. With all the stuff you have going on, I\'m not surprised you have tension headaches. At least those are more controllable than migraines. Blessings of patience (for yourself), love (for yourself), and strength (for your quit).
