Doc calls: Because your NOT so smooth

On Monday 9/21 I got a call from my oncologist. Yes he called me himself, which is never a good sign. He was following up on the results of my CT scan done last month. He said he noticed some 'heterogeneity' (whatever that is) on my liver and that he would like to do an MRI to get a better look at what it is. He said that no mass was detected. He also said it's not time  to get 'panicky' about it.Apparently the liver should be smooth (as in homogeneous) - I need to find out how large this 'heterogeneity' is.I did the MRI test today - first time for me. It took about 30 minutes. The machine is loud and makes 50's era Science Fiction movie sounds. I wore a huge belt that went over my stomach area and they injected 'contrast' during the last 10 minutes of the test. Fortunately - I feel great and have no other symptoms. My follow-up with my Onc is on 10/5. Hoping for the best....Mike
