Doc Appointment

Home from vacation and actually called the doc for an appointment.   Hope to address sleeplessness, anxiety, swelling in the heat, pre menopause, and hearing loss.
I hope I can do it.  I scheduled a physical.  I haven't had one in probably 25 years.   The military did away with the annual physical long long ago and I just jumped on the bandwagon with joy.
I have a irrational fear or any kind of diagnostic testing.   Any exam that might tell me something is wrong with me just terrifies me.   I have never had my cholesterol checked or anything else.  I barely make it to my female exams and have never had a mammogram.  I say I will do it at 50, but don't know if I have the courage.
Praying I keep the appointment and praying I can get a doc who is not in a hurry and willing to listen if I can get up the courage to actually talk about my problems.  This will be a general practioner so he will have to give me referrals to places and I will have to get up the courage to schedule something and then to go.
I go back to work in two weeks.   It isn't likely to happen, but maybe this is a step????
