Doc. Appoint.
So I went for my post op this afternoon.
I had alot of endo to be removed and he said I am now "endo free" he also sent biopsys off to properly confirm that its endo and it can back saying I do have it. I have to go back in 6 months if not before for a check up as my endo grows fast.
Con, is I can't take any tablets with hormones in them as I don't take to them well he said I have to try natural methods now.
I feel a little lost... and bewildered, if I cant have something to help it stop growing so fast even if it fails, what hope do I have of trying to stop its growth? Do I keep having surgery every 4-6 months to take whats there out?? Im due for my period any day and I am in angony.. I tried asking him about this and he said its because I've just had surgery and I guess he could be right. I feel like someone is stabbing at my insides, It hurts so bad, I have my heat pack and I've taken some pain killers. I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. I don't feel like I've made any progress, but I guess having nothing there (nothing visable) is better then having something there. I guess I need to stop thinking I'm going to have a miracle, thereis no cure, we just need to find ways to deal with this. So I am going to try a natropath when I have some more money, next week I think. I can only try something else right?
I also found out tonight I am NOT the first woman in my family to have this, my mums cousin had it she found out very recently after asking around and she ended up having a hysterectomy at 35 after she wouldnt stop bleeding (I wonder if her endo stopped? mum made no mention of it, Ill have to query this!), and my aunty well mum said her issue wasnt endo but she continuously bleed and ALOT (which is similar to me) since they don't speak anymore mum can't ask her what it was she had. Maybe it is genetic after all??
SO I am hoping that the natropath helps, but I guess I will end up in the gyno's office every 6 months or less. I can't keep having a surgery so hopefully I find something that helps atleast with the pain.
What do you all think? Jase (boyfriend) tells me I need to ask more questions, I always feel like they want me out of the office asap. I get timid and shy and end up not asking most of the questions I want to ask. Which is stupid I know and as mum says, I'm the one paying the bill! *sigh* I guess we shall see how I go, Im so frightened for my period, it's going to be hell!
I hope everyone is having a good night.
Lots of Love!
