Do You Like Juice? Choose The Right Juicer

A different type of juicer is suitable for each fruit and vegetable. We will advise you on which one to choose, and how to get the most juice from carrots, strawberries, oranges or even herbs.
Experts recommend that you think about what raw materials and how much to process before buying a juicer. Depending on that, decide whether to buy a centrifugal or pressure juicer or a citrus juicer.
"For example, leafy vegetables and berries get virtually no juice from centrifugal juicers. Centrifuges only have a good yield for harder ingredients such as root vegetables, apples or pears. At lower speeds, they can also handle citrus, even if they don't get all of them.
Two -speed centrifuges are more practical Centrifugal-type devices work by cutting raw materials into fine pieces after being thrown, which are then spread on a fine sieve and, thanks to the centrifugal force caused by high speeds, "squeeze" the juice out of them.
If you opt for a centrifuge, choose a device with two speeds, or with continuously regulated speeds, which usually range from six to fifteen thousand. High speeds are used for hard vegetables, low speeds for more watery fruits such as orange, grapefruit or watermelon.
You can buy cheap centrifuges from one thousand crowns. With powerful devices with a luxurious design, the amount can climb up to ten times.
A large inlet needs a powerful motor

For centrifuges, you should focus on motor power and inlet size when choosing.
A power input of 800 to 900 watts should guarantee sufficient juicer performance."
Devices with a more powerful motor can work without breaks, without which you cannot do without weak juicers.
Micro-
mesh releases most of the juice. The quality of the sieve has an effect on the amount of juice obtained. The best ones are made of micro-mesh, which releases the most juices. For cheaper products, you can find sieves made of "perforated" sheet metal, the worst option is if this sheet is embedded in plastic partitions, such a sieve releases the least juice, visit here.
Each sieve tends to clog with small residues of raw materials. So if you want it to work well for a long time, regular maintenance is important. However, rinsing under running water and mechanical cleaning with a brush is not enough. Once in a while, you should put it, for example, in vinegar or sava, which will help remove fine deposits that the bristles of the brush did not get to.
For leaves and herbs with a pressure juicer

If you want juice from leafy vegetables, herbs or berries, one of the pressure juicers is ideal for you.
In addition, these devices do not have problems with watery fruits such as melons or citrus. The juice obtained in this way oxidizes less due to lower speeds and has a longer shelf life than that of centrifuges.
Pressure juicers are made on the one hand by a single-shaft screw, with a so-called screw, which first grinds the raw materials and then spreads them along the wall of the sieve and squeezes the juice. You can also buy a twin-gear design, in which the raw materials are pressed by inserting them between two gears working against each other, and these squeeze out even more juice than a snail.
Single-shaft devices cost from three thousand crowns upwards. In the manual version, where you drive the press manually by turning the handle, you can count on half the amount. You will pay ten thousand or more for a two-shaft design. However, you can pay four times as much for top models.
A subgroup of pressure devices are kneading juicers. They process the thrown raw materials using a rotary knife. However, due to the higher speed, they blow more air into the juice, thus creating more foam than other pressure equipment.
The kneading type is a good choice, especially if you intend to juice a large amount of hard fruit or root vegetables. If you also want to process leafy vegetables or herbs, you should first cut everything into smaller pieces so that the longer stems do not wind up on the knife. The price is around ten thousand crowns.
An automatic citrus juicer is suitable for frequent use.

If you only like citrus fruit juices, you can buy a mechanical - manual - lever juicer, for which you usually pay around two thousand crowns. In an elegant chrome design, it will definitely be a nice addition to your kitchen. However, the disadvantage of mechanical lever citrus growers is their lower efficiency. Stressed parts of the device, especially the lever arm, should give a lasting impression.
More effective is the citrus cultivator with a rotating tip driven by a motor, on which you press the sliced fruit by hand during juicing. Prices start at about five hundred crowns. Devices with a more powerful engine and more durable materials are around two thousand crowns.
If you want to make orange juice every morning for the whole family, a fully automatic device will be better, in which you just insert halves of citrus and use the shoulder to press the fruit onto the rotating tip. The price usually starts at six thousand.
